The Father-Daughter Dance

18 Nov

So I have been looking into songs for the father-daughter dance, and I can’t seem to decide between Tim McGraw’s My little girl or Tony Carter’s Daddy’s Angel…..Hmmmm..i I wonder…

Our first dance!

18 Nov

I honestly cannot wait for our first dance as man and wife.  I’m sure my feet will hate me for it because Peter lacks a certain grace on the dance floor, but nonetheless, it will be amazing.  The song of choice is Miracles by Matt White.  It suits us perfectly, and our friends will agree, it is just perfect!

Wedding Invitations

6 Nov

Is it just me or do most, if not all, wedding invitations suck?  Don’t get me wrong, during my journey of finding the perfect invitations I have found some unique, quirky invites, like vinyl records and such, but they are, of course, an arm and a leg to purchase.  It has come to the point where, to manage style and budget, Peter and I are making our own.  We found cute invites, that would usually cost $4.75 each to make and making them, with the RSVP cards for about a $1.  Hey, weddings are expensive!  Wherever we can save a buck or two, we’ll take it…hahahaha, because it is definitely not coming out of the dress budget!…:P

But seriously, these invites that are out nowadays are all cookie cutter and, for the most part, ugly.  There is no individuality in them.  They are just…blah….which is sad.  I wish that the quirky ones weren’t so high in price, so that others, who may not know someone who is good with Illustrator, could get something more unique for their unique special day.
